Shopping and treasures in Norway

 ....bringing home the "booty"

Now that Our little holiday in Norway is coming to an end, I thought I'd share With you all some of the treasures we've found during Our time here...
One of the things I love about coming "home" (apart from seeing Family and friends, of course) is looking for things to bring back to England...little finds that remind me where I'm from, and the good time we've had...
Anything from Shells and driftwood found on a day at the Beach....

....To some vintage tea cans for sale in a trolley at the old local shop in the harbour...(This is now a week-end cafe, but used to be run by my great grand-mother....and I just love how they've kept the old look of the shop....)

Even the local florist shop is a treasure throw...looking lush With vintage-y glassware and chandeliers...( I loooove the beaded chandelier(a future DIY?) and the LAUGH bottle...sooo Alice in Wonderland!!)

Say what you will about IKEA, but Scandinavians KNOW design and decor...

...and even on a touristy day out in Bergen, we managed to come across quite a few lovely little boutiques in the quaint backstreets near the "fløybanen" lift that takes you up the mountain side for some spectacular views of the city harbour...
If only money was no object....

....I even rummaged through my morfars (grandads) old barn...(packed full of Furniture treasures...but that is a post for another time...)and found a lovely old and battered kettle...

...So this morning me and Little Miss Mooo had some fun putting up a table in Mum and Dad's garden to display all Our "little" finds....

Little Miss Moo was in charge of picking Apples and flowers and washing the Shells, whilst I draped my New lace tablecloth and curtains....
The building Block-robot was a gift from an old pal....and I love it!!

...Now it just remains to be seen if we can manage to squeeze all of our "booty" into Our suitcase...
I am pretty sure we'll have to pay for the excess weight....but then : what's New?

Do you go looking for treasure when you are abroad?
What are Your best finds?
